Golf season around Lake Tahoe is available April to November, but depends greatly on the snowpack of the prior winter. Don't overlook the many courses to be found in the Reno/Carson City area too. Many of these courses are links style, open all year, and are within a short drive from Lake Tahoe. The best news...you could actually be skiing at Heavenly one day and playing golf the next!
